TEX is run by local volenteer professionals. We want to help newcomers and Amsterdammers to find a place in society.

Gaining work experience

Do you want to get started (again)? Or are you looking for (other) work? Discover your qualities at Tex. We do not offer a fixed learning path, but experience to get a feel of work again and to discover new qualities. You can also learn from other students or maybe we learn a lot from you! Our strength is in bringing people together. Everyone is welcome.

Our vision

Our vision is: we make it together. Together we learn, we discover, and we grow. We work in a team. We also know that everyone is different and has unique qualities. We focus on the power of people. We believe that people can take control of their own lives and ambitions and achieve a lot themselves.

What are we doing?

Tex recycles old museum banners and facade cloths with beautiful prints. We use this to make sturdy shoppers with industrial sewing machines.

Besides sewing, you can also gain experience with: blogging, managing the website, being on the market and looking for new banners.

We believe that a personal approach helps newcomers and people to flourish.

We can not offer any payment, only experience. If you've been with us for a while, we'll be happy to write a reference to help you to find a job.
